A total of USD 50,000 prize money has been allocated for the IRONMAN Malaysia Triathlon. Total prize money is only given to pro-triathletes apportioned according to the categories below:

Age groupers will received medal, and an opportunity to obtain a slot for the finals in KONA, Hawaii.

To qualify for prize money you must have declared your Professional status on your entry form and have finished within 10% of the time of the second place competitor in your gender category.

PLEASE NOTE PRIZE MONEY ONLY APPLIES TO PROFESSIONALS AGE GROUP, CONTESTANTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE.

Prize money will be distributed throught the depth of those meeting the 10% rule and the remaining balance of the prize purse will be distributed on a pro-rata points basis amongst all the qualified winners. For futher information on prize money distribution contact the Race Office.
